![]() When he is not writing Robert usually spends time with his two naughty dogs and his hands are full training them. Though he has been in Slovakia for some time now, he is still in the learning stage as far as the Slovak language is concerned. He also has over the years written a few crime thrillers and quite a few of them have had very good acceptance from his readers. He eventually settled down in Slovak with Jan. He was born in United Kingdom and has lived a significant part of his life in USA and Canada. ![]() He has over the years been able to win the appreciation and fan following of thousands of readers not only across the country but also across the world. What did they know that he did not? Were Aeron to learn he'd soon be separated from his friends, the other demon-possessed warriors he'd spent the last few thousand years protecting, he would have done anything-yes, even beg-to change his fate. Hell, they grew up knowing they'd have to abandon everything and everyone they loved, and yet, as he'd already observed, they didn't demand or even request more time. Buildings stretched on every side, some of the higher points wrapped in light green awnings, the perfect contrast to the emerald trees rising from their bases. Muted moonlight spilled from the sky, blending with the amber glow of the street lamps and casting shadows on the paved pathways. ![]() He shifted his focus from the people to their surroundings. Nor were they sobbing because they wouldn't get it. But none of them were dropping to their knees and begging the gods for more time in those feeble bodies. Some were shopping, some talking and laughing, and some snacking while they walked. "They don't seem to care that they're dying."Īeron, an immortal warrior possessed by the demon of Wrath, was perched atop the roof of the Bubajos Apartments in central Budapest, peering down at the humans so blithely going about their evening. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thought the victim, the more I learned about him, wasn’t entirely likeable either. Most of the time the killer is often more sympathetic than the victim, and this was not the case. This is the only time I have not sympathised with the killer in her books. In some stories I haven’t, but with PD James, I have most of the time. And that’s what the crime story ought to do: the clues are fairly laid and the reader ought to arrive at the solution before the end logically. I was able to work it out before the reveal. As to the mystery: the clues definitely do their work. It was quite fun having a character of the same age as the reader to go along the mystery with. ![]() She’s smart, fun, incredibly brave, and she knows her way around. Cordelia is such a great character, it was impossible to not like her. PD James has left her mark on the detective genre for decades, and the introduction of Cordelia Gray is perhaps one of the bear things to come out the genre altogether. ![]() ![]() Buy a discounted Paperback of Naruto, Volume 1-27 online from Australias leading online. ![]() Assigned to a three-person team, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura must survive a brutal test against their upper-level ninja instructor, Kakashi. However I found his fidelity to be inconsistent and moreover I found him to be a poor writer. For a standard classroom study of Homer he is often the teacher’s favourite. But it's perhaps the closest approximation possible. Its not a true dactylic hexameter since that's all but impossible in English. His translation was ground-breaking in its day for not only being faithful to the language but for daring to match the metrical rhythm of Homer as well. ![]() The first and most frequently recommended translation is Lattimore (1951). ![]() I focused on recent versions because I find older translations to be distracting with their more archaic English style.
